Idlewyld Fort Lauderdale is an affluent community situated on the Intracoastal Waterway, just across from the Bahia Mar Marina - one of the largest mega-yacht marinas in Florida.  Homes in this prestigious community are highly sought-after, especially for boating enthusiasts, and range from $800,000 to over $10 million for waterfront estates.  The community is one of Fort Lauderdale’s most beautiful and historic neighborhoods, featuring homes built as early as the 1920’s.  The neighborhood is aesthetically pleasing, an amalgamation of these vintage homes along with stunning modern mansions, many on waterfront lots.  Idlewyld is a unique Fort Lauderdale neighborhood in that numerous homes provide world-class mega yacht dockage with direct ocean access.  Because of its enviable location just over the Las Olas Bridge from Fort Lauderdale Beach, residents of Idlewyld can enjoy a short bike ride to the beach with convenient access still to all the fine shops and restaurants on Las Olas Boulevard.

The homes in Idlewyld are securely nestled behind a gated entrance.  Most of these residences boast incredible features, no matter their size or age.  Oversized lots with wide, unobstructed water views and separate guest homes or pavilions are commonplace.  In addition, “intelligent home” systems, expansive pool and patio areas perfect for entertaining, and even built-in generators are more amenities found in some Idlewyld homes.  Interiors can often feature Venetian plaster finishes, club rooms, wine rooms, custom-designed and vaulted ceilings, marble or hardwood floors, French doors, towering columns, home theaters, and libraries.
Situated within close proximity to shopping, dining, and entertainment, and with the open ocean just moments from your back door, Idlewyld is the ideal place for those seeking luxury with convenience.
