Imperial Point is a lovely residential neighborhood in northeast Fort Lauderdale, bordered on the north by McNab Road, and on the south by NE 56th Street, between US 1 (Federal Highway) and NE 18th Avenue. It is a friendly community with sidewalks and streetlights and is home to both waterfront and dry-lot homes, all beautifully maintained and framed by lovingly manicured lawns.

Imperial Point began as a new development of custom homes in the early 1960's, built by Haft-Gaines, a local builder famous for developing much of this section of northeast Fort Lauderdale (including nearby Bay Colony and The Landings) and areas west of the city. Though much of the neighborhood and many of the Builder’s original models still exist as they were built 50 years ago, the homes have been updated throughout the years to keep up with the changing Fort Lauderdale real estate market. Lots are typically sized at 100' x 80' on average and those that are waterfront do have limited ocean access with 2 fixed bridges along the way. At the north end of the meticulously designed neighborhood sits the beautiful Imperial Point Park. With its shaded playground and serene oasis, the park is popular among the residents but is almost unknown to anyone outside of the neighborhood. Imperial Point is also home to the prestigious Pine Crest School, with a nationally recognized academic program for Pre-K through 12th Grade.

Residents enjoy being just minutes to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, with its Commercial Boulevard pier providing great fishing and diving opportunities, and many fine beachfront restaurants and bars, some of which offer live music on the weekends. They can also enjoy a short drive to downtown Fort Lauderdale, and are virtually around the corner from nearly every convenience to be found along Federal Highway.

Imperial Point is a great location for those seeking a quiet suburban feel, with manicured lawns and public parks, as well as its convenience to the city and the beach.
